To start coding your own Roblox games with Code Kingdoms, you need to first download Roblox Studio. Go to the Roblox homepage and create an account.
As you can see, creating an account is easy! Just simply fill in the details. If you are creating an account for your child, make sure to enter their birthday correctly; accounts that are under 13 years of age have a number of additional restrictions to ensure child safety.
Roblox has quite a strict word filter that blocks some common words like Grass or Butter, so choose a username wisely, and hope that it is not already taken!
You will then be directed back to the Roblox home page. Click on Settings (the cog) in the top right corner:
This will allow you to verify your email address and phone number in Account Info, add a layer of Security to the account and update Privacy settings if you would prefer that only Friends or No One interacts with you. If you don’t want to adjust these, you can choose to use Roblox’s default setting (Only Friends can message and chat in app, everyone can chat in game) or set everything Off.
To jump in and start making your own games, you will need to install Roblox Studio, the free software which allows you to make your own games. Unlike Roblox itself, Studio is only available for PCs and Macs.
If your account is already set-up, then installing Studio is simple. You just need to navigate to Roblox’s Create page, and click the big green button that says Start Creating. Your browser will then download Roblox Studio.
At this point, you’re all done with setting up Roblox Studio on your devices!
